FRANKFORT — Kentucky State Republican Party Chairman Steve Robertson has been appointed chairman of the Republican National Committee’s State Chairmen’s Advisory Committee.

RNC Chairman Reince Priebus, in making the appointment, said, “Steve has done a tremendous job leading the Kentucky Republican Party, and I’m grateful that he’s taken on this role as we work together to grow and build our party.

“To strengthen all of our state parties and compete in every state, it’s more important than ever that state parties share best practices and find innovative new ways to reach voters. As Chair of Chairs, I’m confident Steve will help make that possible.”

Robertson, of Lexington, has been state GOP chairman since June 2007. The RNC leadership appointment is unpaid.
