Beshear makes appointments to education panels

Gov. Steve Beshear

FRANKFORT – Gov. Steve Beshear has made appointments to the Kentucky Board of Education and the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education.

The governor appointed Trevor R. Bonnstetter of Mayfield to the state education board.

Bonstetter is to replace Dorothy Z. Combs of Richmond, whose term has expired. He will serve for a term expiring April 14, 2016.

Beshear also appointed Grayson R. Boyd of Williamsport to the education board to replace Martha M. Jones of Ashland, who has resigned. Boyd will serve for the remainder of the unexpired term, which ends April 14, 2014.

To the postsecondary education council, Beshear has appointed Joe E. Ellis of Benton and reappointed Pam Miller of Lexington.

Ellis is to replace Lisa Osborne of Lexington, whose term expired. He is to serve for a term expiring Dec. 31, 2018. Miller’s term also expires Dec. 31, 2018.
