Beshear undergoes more eye surgery

FRANKFORT — Gov. Steve Beshear underwent more eye surgery Thursday night “to address a follow-up issue to his previous eye surgeries,” his office said in a statement Friday.

It said the surgery was successful, he expects to make a full recovery and plans to return to work on Monday.

Beshear underwent surgery last week to remove scar tissue that developed from last November’s procedure to repair a detached retina.
