Senate approves bill to allow alcohol sales on election days

FRANKFORT — The ban on the sale of alcoholic beverages on election days in Kentucky would be lifted under a bill the Senate approved Tuesday on a 29-8 vote.

Senate Bill 13, sponsored by Sen. John Schickel, R-Union, now goes to the House for its consideration.
