FRANKFORT — Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee is to headline an Oct. 6 fund-raiser in Louisville for state House Republican candidates.
Republicans are trying to win at least 10 seats in the state House this fall to wrest control of the 100-member chamber from Democrats.
The $50-a-person fund-raiser with Huckabee, who now is a Fox News commentator, will be in Louisville at the home of Irv and Cathy Bailey. She was the U.S. ambassador to Latvia during President George W. Bush’s administration.
Huckabee, who unsuccessfully ran for president in 2008, raised money in Kentucky last year for Republican attorney general candidate Todd P’Pool and for Rand Paul’s U.S. Senate bid in 2010.
