KC Crosbie, a member of Lexington’s Urban County Council who decided not to seek re-election this year, will become Kentucky’s Republican national committeewoman Aug.31 after the GOP national convention in Tampa, Fla.
Crosbie won a four-year term for the voluntary position at the recent state GOP convention elections. She will succeed Gail Russell of Louisville.
“I’m excited about this and it’s honored to be nominated by the state party,” Crosbie said Wednesday.
Crosbie also is finance chair for the state Republican Party.
