‘Comment’ schedules 3 journalists; ‘KY Tonight’ will discuss homeland security
Joining host Ferrell Wellman on this weekend’s “Comment on Kentucky,” a public-affairs show of the Kentucky Educational Television network, are three reporters.
They are Valarie Honeycutt Spears of the Lexington Herald-Leader, Greg Stotelmyer of Lexington’s WTVQ-TV and Mike Wynn of the Frankfort bureau for The Courier-Journal.
The 30-minute show airs Friday at 8 p.m. EDT on KET1. It also will be broadcast at 6:30 a.m. Saturday on KET KY, 7:30 a.m. Sunday on KET KY, 12:30 p.m. Sunday on KET 1, 8 a.m. Monday on KET KY and 7:30 p.m. Monday on KET KY.
On the June 13 edition of “Kentucky Tonight,” airing at 8 p.m. EDT on KET1 and at www.ket.org/live, host Bill Goodman and guests will discuss Afghanistan, Iraq and homeland security.
Scheduled guests are Stacy Closson, professor at the Patterson School of Diplomacy and International Commerce at the University of Kentucky and a former policy analyst at the Department of Defense; Max Wise, political science professor at Campbellsville University and a former FBI employee in intelligence and counterterrorism; Hossein Motamedi, political science and history professor at Bluegrass Community and Technical College; and Bruce Hicks, political science professor at the University of the Cumberlands.
