‘Comment’ will discuss legislature and drug abuse; ‘KY Tonight’ will focus on optometry bill
This weekend’s “Comment on Kentucky,” a public affairs show of the Kentucky Educational Television network, will focus on the state legislature and prescription drug abuse in the state.
Joining guest host Bill Bryant will be Ronnie Ellis of CNHI News Service, Phil Pendleton of Lexington’s WKYT-TV and Laura Ungar of The Courier-Journal.
The show will be aired live at 8 p.m. ET Friday on KET1. It also will be broadcast at 6:30 a.m. Saturday on KET KY, 7:30 a.m. Sunday on KET KY, 12:30 p.m. Sunday on KET 1, 8 a.m. Monday on KET KY and 7:30 p.m. Monday on KET KY.
On the Monday, Feb. 21 edition of “Kentucky Tonight” at 8 p.m. ET on KET and at www.ket.org/live, host Bill Goodman and guests will discuss the optometry bill passed by the General Assembly and sent to the governor.
Scheduled guests are Julie Aubuchon, O.D., president of the Kentucky Optometric Association; Ben Gaddie, O.D., president-elect of Kentucky Optometric Association and education chair with the American Optometric Association; Woodford VanMeter, M.D., president of the Kentucky Academy of Eye Physicians and Surgeons; and Cynthia Bradford, M.D., senior secretary for advocacy with American Academy of Ophthalmology.
