Conway launches his first ad in U.S. Senate race
Democratic U.S. Senate nominee Jack Conway has released his first television ad of the general election.
The 30-second spot highlights the various endorsements he has received from law enforcement groups and his efforts as the state’s attorney general.
Conway’s Republican opponent, Bowling Green eye surgeon Rand Paul, has not yet aired an ad in the general election. However, a conservative issues group, Crossroads Grassroots Policy Strategies, is currently running more than $500,000 worth of TV ads in Kentucky against Conway.

These democratic policemen support their boss? Shocker

Strong ad. Im glad one of the candidates in the US Senate race is strong on crime. We need that leadership, not false words.

Jack Conway is not at all the “boss” of the sheriffs and policemen of Kentucky. Calling the AG the top law enforcement official in the state is just a manner of speaking. The AG’s office doesn’t control the funding or the hiring and firing in any of those departments.
What would be a shocker is if a hip-shooting accuser like Brian knew any of that. It doesn’t matter whether it’s an article in the paper or an announcement from an individual – if you’re not for the Tea Party, then they will accuse you of having been “bought off”.
And of course we found out this week that the Arab putting up the money for the Ground Zero mosque owns two billion dollars worth of FOX News stock.

His first? Didn’t he put out some right after the primary trashing Rand Paul?
I have to kind of laugh at what Jack’s progressive netroot supporters would say to his touting himself as a drug warrier etc. He is so different for audiences in and out of Kentucky.
Like when he told the farm bureau he was changing position to back the Bush tax cuts, and was a fiscal conservative, then flew to Las Vegas that night and told netroot nation he wanted to fight the filibuster and end it so Obama could better push his agenda through.

Yet, no story on the fact he’s in San Francisco tonight raising money with Pro-Cap and Trade, Pro Amnesty, Code Pink supporting, Anti Drug war and anti gun activists.
Good job media on not reporting the real story.

Good job Barry.
If Conway is so anti gun as you advocate, why does he have an A rating from the NRA? Has the NRA gone soft on anti gun politicians or is it you are just not telling the truth? Thought so.

Where Conway and Paul really differ on guns is gun shows. Jack Conway wants to end the right of Kentuckians to be able to sell their guns to other private citizen without Uncle Sam’s permission.
Gun Owners of America have endorsed Paul and I’d expect the NRA to do the same.
Rand “pro-gun” Paul

Why have regulations that help prevent felons and people with mental illnesses from obtaining guns, if we are going to allow people to sell guns to others without back ground checks?
How is that an bad viewpoint and policy to require everyone to have a background check who wish to buy a gun?
And please do not say its your 2nd Amendment right. Felons and the mentally ill should not have the right to own guns. Most responsible gun owners have ZERO problem with that policy.
Now try and take my guns is another issue, but thats not what this is about anyway and everyone knows it. The NRA needs to realize they do not speak for all hunters. With every right comes a responsibility. That goes for guns too!

An ‘A’ from the NRA comes from just filling out their survey. James Buckmaster had an ‘A’ rating from the NRA too. Meaningless.
What matters are endorsements. Paul has one from the Gun Owners of America and I’m willing to bet that if the NRA does endorse in this race; it’ll be Paul. Conway is anti-gun, despite any lying on a survey he may or may not have done:

Deer hunter,
Murders have increased in Kentucky despite gun laws and restrictions. So, I fail to see how another law is going to change that.
Criminals buy their guns from other criminals, not at gun collector shows. The only thing more restrictions and regulation do for gun sales is make it harder for an honest American to own a gun.
Guns don’t kill people, people kill people.
No doubt I trust Rand Paul over Jack Cownay when it comes to any right protected by the Bill of Rights. Jack Conway has shown he doesn’t support the Bill of RIghts by not challenging ObamaCare!

Marion County, reading is not your forte. I was referring to the donors he was pandering to. But, good job not answer the real point of the comment.

Because Marion County the NRA rating was solely based upon his answers that he manufactured for the questionaire they sent him. Easy to claim you support gun rights but if you support Osama Obama you really don’t.
