Kentucky should trademark the words "Kentucky Bourbon" as soon as possible. Federal legislation on alcohol includes provisions that would remove the ingredient and distilling procedures that make 'bourbon' what it is. Anybody could call their whiskey 'bourbon'. Protect Kentucky's tradition and industry! And then have a drink. Nothing warms things up and cools things down better than bourbon.

The governor didn't care too much about the state's signature industry in 2009 when he supported an increase in the state alcohol tax.
