  1. Jerry Caldren says:

Sounds like more fanatics to me. “Designer of the current American Flag…”, what the heck does that mean?

Didn’t know we were wanting to change Ol’ Glory!

  2. N. Southworth says:

Bob Heft designed the current flag in 1958, congress had a competition to redesign the flag after Alaska and Hawaii were being considered and we would switch from 48 to 50 stars. Mr. Heft was 17 years old at the time. No one is trying to change the flag, and we are NOT fanatics. You, however, are obviously uneducated about your history, which is one of the problems with many liberals.

  3. Buck Feshear says:

This Bill Johnson sounds like the Senate candidate I will support. He’s not wimpy like Grayson and not kooky like Paul. Johnson strikes me as a common-sense conservative, and that’s what we need.

  4. Brent Hartman says:

    Buck,

In what way is Paul kooky? Don’t you like the idea of people governing themselves? Don’t you think our politicians should be bound by the Constitution?

  5. PikeCoGOP says:

    Dear “Buck,”

Don’t worry, Senator McConnell will be glad to know his plan to split the conservative anti-Grayson vote worked so easily on you.

  6. KookyTracker says:

Buck is right, Rand’s quite the kook.

He’s opposed the war on terror, wants to legalize drugs, would end the Patriot Act and FISA, and regularly appears on kooky shows like the Alex Jones show.

Jones thinks 9/11 was a government conspiracy.

Worst of all, Rand was his nutty dad’s campaign manager in 2008 and in 1988. In 1988 they wanted to legalize heroin.

Oh, did we mention that Rand’s anti-federal government views would prevent federal legislation curtailing abortion?

Or that he’s for repealing Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell?

Too Kooky for Kentucky! That’s Rand.

  7. David says:

Not only kooky but Rand Paul is as much a Washington insider as his father. He is revealing himself to be a Washington Democrat more than a Libertarian or Republican. I don’t care what he says he is, if it smells like a duck, quacks like a duck, looks like a duck and walks like a duck….it must be Rand.
I just sent a little $$$ to Johnson. I think we need to get behind this man. He has more character in his index finger than Grayson and Paul together: carrer politician and millionaire Congressman’s obedient son.
study Bill @ http://www.kentuckybill.com . We’re not rich but I consider my donation as an investment in my children’s future.

  8. serah says:

I read about Bill Johnson on his website, bill@kentuckybill.com and for an individual who comes from outside Washington, is knowledgeable, first hand, about business, security, energy and raising a family, he will get my vote. Raising funds from individuals is not only hard it is the only way not to be indebted to special interests. He also has my donation of $10. Every little bit helps.

  9. Robert G. Heft says:

As the person that designed our nations current national flag (50 stars) for Alaska and Hawaii (july 4th, 1960) I normally do not endorse political candidates for office, however, I feel so strongly about BILL JOHNSON for the U. S. Senate from Kentucky, that I am proud to
endorse him for the Senate. It appears to me that Kentuckians have an important decision to make. They can support a one
time Democrat that supported Clinton in Trey Grayson or a Liberterian posing as a
    conservative Republican.

There s ONLY one true conservative with
realistic credentials to serve all the citizens of Kentucky. He speaks from the heart and he simply makes a lot of good old
common sense. Kentuck and America needs BILL JOHNSON and a lot more like him in Washington.

Good luck and God bless BILL JOHNSON.

Designer of America’s current National flag

  10. Brent Hartman says:

What’s kooky is people that think prohibition of any substance works.

Taxpayers spend at least $10 billion a year to catch, prosecute, and incarcerate marijuana users and sellers. Marijuana is the top cash crop in 12 states and among the top three cash crops in 30 states. Marijuana production is valued at $35.8 billion, which exceeds the combined value of corn ($23.3 billion) and wheat ($7.5 billion). Prohibition still doesn’t work.

You support the Patriot Act? Talk about kooky. If you think you are safer by giving up your Constitutional rights then you truly deserve what you get.

James Madison was speaking prophetically when he said the following:

“A standing military force, with an overgrown Executive will not long be safe companions to liberty. The means of defence against foreign danger, have been always the instruments of tyranny at home. Among the Romans it was a standing maxim to excite a war, whenever a revolt was apprehended. Throughout all Europe, the armies kept up under the pretext of defending, have enslaved the people.

Of all the enemies to public liberty, war is perhaps the most to be dreaded because it comprises and develops the germ of every other. War is the parent of armies; from these proceed debts and taxes; and armies, and debts, and taxes are the known instruments for bringing the many under the domination of the few.”

The many are now under the domination of the few, and Republicans are just as guilty as Democrats at bringing us to this point.

Drunk drivers kill more Americans every year than terrorist have killed in my entire lifetime, and you cowards are actually afraid of this hapless enemy.

I’m always amazed at so-called small government conservatives that wish to build a U.S. empire throughout the world. Their words and actions reveal their true intent. Government so big that it can’t even be contained within our own borders.

  11. David says:

Thanks Brent, for making our case as to why Rand Paul cannot be elected so clear.

  12. Buck Feshear says:

I disagree with Paul on his views on national defense, among other things.

  13. Brent Hartman says:

    David,

What did you disagree with, and why? How did I make the case against Rand Paul?

    Buck,

Specifically, how do you disagree with Paul on national defense? What “other things” do you disagree with?

  14. Buck Feshear says:

I believe the United States should reserve the right to strike proactively. I also support the Patriot Act and do not support the legalization of drugs.
