U.S. Sen. Mitch McConnell and 22 other Republican senators are hosting a $500-per-person fundraiser Sept. 23 for Kentucky Secretary of State Trey Grayson’s Senate campaign.

The event will be held at the National Republican Senatorial Committee headquarters in Washington, Roll Call reported Tuesday.

The Capitol Hill publication said the NRSC has not officially endorsed Grayson but the location of the event and the fact that its chairman, Sen. John Cornyn of Texas, is one of the hosts indicate where the committee’s desires lie.

Grayson is to travel the state this week to officially announce his candidacy for U.S. Senate in the May 2010 Republican primary election.

  1. Grayson is a liberal and I won’t vote for him. When are Republicans going to realize that their only chance of keeping this country from going into bankruptcy is to vote in new people like RAND PAUL.

  2. soccer is my favorite,so is David Beckham
