Republican U.S. Senate candidate Trey Grayson used humor at a Republican gathering Friday night in Calvert City as he explained his decision to support Democrat Bill Clinton in the 1992 presidential race.
At the time, Grayson was a Democratic college student. “Some people in college tried pot,” he said. “I tried Clinton.”
Below are some other highlights from the pre-Fancy Farm gathering as reported by Herald-Leader political writer Jack Brammer on Twitter. The political speaking at Fancy Farm – the world’s largest picnic – begins at 3 p.m. Saturday.
