That's hilarious!! You should be writing for SNL. Fletcher brought new faces and old GOP corruption with him to Frankfort. Those new faces started pocketing the silverware immediately - and they were busted. Pardons, highway contract shenanigans, hiring - Fletcher was Blagojevich before Blagojevich. We can thank Fletcher for one great accomplishment - it'll be a hell of a long time before a Republican goes through the front door of the Governor's mansion.

Ernie Fletcher brought a lot of new blood to Frankfort, and was making progress on changing the culture there. The good ole boys were sweating until Stumbo, Graham, Doerting and company conpired to abuse the AG's office, ambushing Fletcher. He never knew what hit him and never recovered the positive momentum with which he began.

Stumbo is the ultimate inside player. He succeeded in trying Fletcher and anyone around him in the media and a majority of the populace fell for it, resulting in the election of Beshear, restoration of the good ole boy network, and insuring Kentucky's traditional place as near the bottom in every good statistic and near the top in every bad one. Sad, but true.

I agree with all of these comments. I just wish the rest of Kentuckians would get on board and elect some new blood. These same ole crappy politicians have exposed their sorry @sses long enough, and I, frankly, am tired of looking at them. It's sickening what this state has become.

David Williams is not the problem. He is what is standing in the way of problems like Richards, Stumbo, and the Democrats who have run this state into the ground. All of Kentucky's problems can be directly laid at the feet of the party that has controlled state government for decades.

I have contacted my state rep (a Dem) and urged him to vote against Stumbo, who does not have any moral authority whatsoever to be a leader in this state.

You are partially correct Mr. Adkins. Mr. Williams is part of the problem but so are Jody Richards and Greg Stumbo. I personally do not know Mr. Williams, have had limited interaction with Mr. Richards but know Mr. Stumbo very well through marriage. All three should have been turned out long before now and for the populace to return Stumbo to Frankfort is inexcusable.

You might maintain Kentucky's problems predate Williams and others, but that David Williams is the problem and no part of the solution cannot be denied.

Welcome back Mr. Stivers. You are correct, until established term limits are put into place, the problem will remain.

Term limits! Term limits!

Two years for a Representative= Total service before term limit four years.

Four years for a Senator.Total service eight years before term limit.

Can't run after second term, Must sit out for one rotation, then would be able to run again against the incumbent.

Representative- same!

Too long a term creates a stagnate thinking after a time. So, new faces and new thoughts would be injected.

On winning re-run. The same ground rules would apply, serve two terms, then sit out one term and run again.
