DESPERATION.

This challenge, of the law, is a last ditch effort by Governor Beshear and the horse lobby to get your play money.

In other words . . . " If Kentucky can not have the gambling money, then none of its citizens will be allowed to play."

That is a dumb motive . . . but when your Governorship is in DESPERATION MODE, perhaps one has to do as the HEAVY HITTER DOES, collect money from the Insurance Companies by means of OUT OF COURT SETTLEMENT.

Don't know if any had opportunity to see the summation by the Judge on this issue, but the decision is clearly rooted by previous cases with similar backgrounds, current law and INTERSTATE COMMERCE.

Unless the state wants to file suit against each one of the domain names, and the state would still loose, the play to get more money from INTERNET GAMBLING is dead. If revised and appealed by the state then the looser would be Steve Beshear and his re-election, which as the moment is not looking good.

The Internet is a wonderful thing.

Now, the gambling issue, a resident of this state can travel anywhere and the state cannot prevent them from gambling, so why does the state think that traveling there “virtually” is any different?

Yes, some, but not all, Internet gaming sites require a download into a computer. Others however are now played in “flash” mode. No down loads, nothing.

Now what? Does KY. really want to be the United States version of China and “protect” its citizens in the name of the state?
